Welcome to Cathy's bed and breakfast

Friendly farm accommodation near Carrutherstown,  Dumfries  DG1  4LQ

Cathy's Bed & Breakfast at Topmuir Farm is situated half a mile off the A75, between Annan and Dumfries, with panoramic views across open countryside. It is well placed for stop-over nights between ferries from Stranraer and Newcastle. Also ideal as a start or finish point for a tour of Scotland.

A warm, friendly welcome awaits you in this peaceful hideaway, so if you are looking for somewhere to relax without the headaches of traffic noise, parking problems, noisy guests etc.. you may encounter elsewhere, then Cathy's Bed & Breakfast is the place for you.

If time permits, stay at Cathy's Bed and Breakfast little longer and enjoy the area which is steeped in the history of the Border Reivers and Scotland's national poet Robert Burns.

You can also visit Gretna Green - famous for runaway marriages where, with the appropriate licence, you can still marry today, or Caerlaverock is well worth a experiencing for the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust and it's medieval, three-cornered, moated castle.

Enjoy a round of golf on the many and varied courses or rest by a river or loch for a spot of fishing. Between the months of September and April you can watch or have a go at the Scottish game of curling on the ice rinks in Lockerbie and Dumfries.

Cathy's Bed & Breakfast at Topmuir Farm is the ideal base for touring Dumfries and Galloway, the Borders and the Lake District.
